Was it just me, or was that some of the worst Pass Interference calls you've ever seen. Both of the ones against the Pats in the first half were ludicrous, with the second one against Hobbs a real laugher!!

That call against Moss was unbelievable, and most definitely shouldv'e gone the other way. And how's about the non-call on the pass play to Faulk that would've given the PATS a key first down, in the Third Quarter?

What was COOL, though, is the way in which they played trough all of the different levels of adversity and at key points in the game they more than rose to the occassion.

GOOOOOOO.................................PATS!!!

Greatest Team in the History of the NFL!!!
19-0, all the way to the Superbowl!!!

Will somebody please send Don Shula out for some bottles of Dom?

Good Game! Lots of mistakes by the Patriots and tons of bad calls by the refs but it made it that much more exciting.

Are the refs paid by the home team? :)

Defense wins Championships but last year all the Pats needed was one more first down and could not get it done against Indy.....Mission Accomplished! Thumbs out to the side line shots of Mannings  Mug! :bshake:

and at least they could've pulled up the sheets.

It definitely wasn't the prettiest win, but they played well enough to pull it off. Indy was hard enough, but to have to play against the refs made it tougher. Brady-Moss combo is unstoppable!!!!! GO PATS! :beat:

Brady-Moss combo is unstoppable!!!!! GO PATS! :beat:

unfortunately brady seems to be in that mindset too. i dont like it. he tried forcing alot of balls to moss. example being the TD to him where he had 3 wide open receivers. and forced it through coverage to moss.
granted they got the win. but i think brady is starting to get starstruck by what he and moss can do, and forgetting about his other options/being impatient with his other options. hopefully belichick will rip him a new one about that during the bye week. could have made alot more plays but he was forcing it to moss for a good portion of the game.

I agree, but forcing the ball may also lead to pass interference calls, if nothing else, force more coverage on him and Brady should find the open guys, he certainly has enough options out there!

true but when you compare happens when he spreads the ball out from the start and what happened in the colts game.. you can see he benefited more from spreading it out.

i mean they got the job done.. and it really was the first example of this. but i hope it gets cut off now. moss is more effective by spreading it around and getting the attention off moss and then launching it down field. and his best role for this team is to draw the coverage off everyone else. brady is smart enough to find the open man. for some reason he was ignoring them until late. and even then it was sort of moss heavy offense.

I also thought Brady had tunnel vision for Moss during the colts game but figure that was part of an overall mediocre day for him. Obviously more dangerous if he tosses it to many different receivers based on the coverage at the time.

i have lost respect for don shula...

Shula didn't have to cheat---if there was a rule he didn't like, he'd get it changed, and if there was no rule against doing something that cost him a game (oh, say, like having a snowplow clear a spot for a kicker to do his thing) he get a rule passed banning it :rotflmao:

Shula was the head of the committee that proposed rule changes for most of the time he coached ;)
