If you only knew how my heart stopped when I logged on and saw this thread!
It was about 10-12 years ago if my memory serves me that cows of the seven striped variety showed one November morning at the overlook. As I write I think it might even be 15 years ago.Henry Hetu was running Cove Edge at the time and reported to me.That means it really happened. Two 50's were taken that morning.Anyone remember?
Anyway, thanks for the cheap thrill!!!! I mean that!

I hate those signs, and I don,t care too much for the people that post them either. I can see the one with the brown head mounted on the wall right now! Plus I'm sure it would have taste delicious on the grill. :nailem:

:bl2: An old farmer up in maine spray painted the sides of his cows one year. He wrote COW in flourescent orange. Seems a hunter (out of stater) shot one on him the year before and was trying to load it when the farmer showed up.:uhoh:

Ain't that crazy.:poke:
I used to hunt in upstate NY, a pretty good area, when you consider the fact that there were no googan hunters around.:hihi:

It's tough to get them to hit when they are laying down, I suggest a needlefish in a "Hay" or "Oat" paint pattern. Use heavy tackle and mono for line, too many rocks to contend with.:hidin:

You need long, green hackle too. I hooked up a couple times but dropped them right at my feet due to the barbed wire. Couldn't lift them over.
