Want buy one locally. Also might be interested in a rod wrapped on this blank, depending on how it was done. Have $$ or possibly stuff to trade. Only interested in honey colored.

Must be yours. I'm going to keep looking for one around here and in the honey color. Shipping from NJ would be an issue too. I may just wait until a local builder is putting an order in and buy that way. Thanks for posting anyway. spence 11-19-2007, 02:59 PM I've got a rod I'm pretty sure is on that blank cut 3" from the tip. Honey with red and black wraps, looks really retro... Done by CMS and only used a few times. -spence 1dozenraw 11-19-2007, 03:01 PM I've got a rod I'm pretty sure is on that blank cut 3" from the tip. Tell me more...? Either here or PM. Guides, seat, butt length... anything I need to know. What does it throw... what d'ya like it for ... etc. Interested. Thanks. spence 11-19-2007, 03:20 PM About 21-1/2" to the center of the seat. All Fuji Hardloy 7 guides (including tip) from 50 to a 12 tip top. It's a very generic setup. Sweet spot is 2-3.5, but it will go lower if you need. It has a very interesting action, a bit softer in the tip but still has a lot of backbone. I bought it to throw eels from the rocks in stormy weather after RIROCKHOUND took me fishing on his little skiff in a lightening storm :spidey: Only reason I'd part with it is that I've a bunch of rods and really don't need them all for how often I'm fishing. -spence Back Beach 11-19-2007, 03:50 PM Nobody? I might have one fully built. Will check when I get home tonight. Its a light spinning blank, right? 1dozenraw 11-19-2007, 03:58 PM I might have one fully built. Will check when I get home tonight. Its a light spinning blank, right? Great.... thanks. spence 11-19-2007, 04:09 PM Not sure if I'd say it's a light blank. It's 9'3" stock with one hell of a taper... -spence Back Beach 11-20-2007, 09:04 AM I do have it, but its missing 6" off the tip. Has 4 guides and cork tape reel seat. You would have to break it down and rebuild it to get a useful rod out of it. I think I cut the tip off a few years ago because it was real soft and my intention was to rebuild it into something different. 1dozenraw 11-20-2007, 09:30 AM I do have it, but its missing 6" off the tip. If you find the honey let me know I want to build a jetty rod out of one. striperondafly 11-21-2007, 11:59 AM I've only wrapped them for Tog and offshore fluke rods - gonna try a spinner this winter. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
