he's on the market- what should our package be? i'm thinking crisp, bucholtz or lester, and another prospect to get 'er done.

I agree with above if he signs a contract extension beforehand. Might be a steep price for a 1 year rental.

Just think , it sure would be nice to have Gabbard and Murphy back right now. (I know Santana is not Gagne, but neither was Gagne before he gagged here).

I would not trade Bucholz or Ellsbury for Babe Ruth, these guys have the ability to be team makers, I really want to see what a full-season will look like for them. I know I know, Santana is very tempting, but look at Buchholz numbers in just a few games this guy might be the next Santana... or he could come down to earth and suck. WTF knows, but I'd like to see the sox sit on these guys for at least one full season before tossing in the towel.

he's considered one of the best pitchers in the game. not gonna get him for less than ellsbury, crisp and bucholz IMO. I say let the yankees have him if they can put together that kind of offer (which I don't think they can do because they probably won't give up Hughes and/or Jabba). Most likely, he'll end up in CA, not in the division and hopefully in the National league. recent trends show that developing pitching is the way to go, not mortaging the farm.

I would not let Bucholz go, yet anyway.

The Twinkies need an outfielder, I say Coco and one of the pitchers, take it or leave it.
Santana will be a free agent next year, and the Sox have got enough money to get anyone they want.

:bshake:Not gonna happen, to many big money players looking for a #1. Dodgers, Mets, Yankees & Philly to name a few. Love to have him though:drool: Hey, as long as we're dictating what the Twinks are going to take, maybe we can throw in Lugo & Drew....no charge!!:walk:

I would think yankme's are going to offer him the world so I don't think we will have to worry about it. Please don't trade J. Ellsbury. I look forward to watching him for many years to come.
