our defense played poorly- especially the d-line. did'nt hear any linemen's names even mentioned... that said the eagles are a tough team and played well enough to beat anyone...well almost.

This game is just what the Pats needed, a scare with a W.

A.J. Feeley was on the money most of the night and his O-line was fantastic. The Eagles gave everything they had on both sides of the ball. I'll bet they're spent and lose big to Seattle next week.

Wes Welker was great last night, I can't believe that guy could get up after some of the pops he took.

The offensive pass interferene call aganst Moss was a bad call.

GO PATS!!!

That was an entertaining ( but scary) game, kind of like the old days, my feeling is, that the Pat's figured if they took away Westbrook, the rest would fall into place.... lots of Humble pie to be eaten today... I agree, they realy needed a "war" todays bumps and bruises should help them prepare for the next two games, that IMHO will probably be dog fights....the Ravens game scares me the most, not form winning or losing, but the Ravens have nothing to loose and are a mean spirited team... I dont want anyone hurt....

Glad that they won as a win is a win, but they have some improving to do.

in other news, Brady passed for 25000 yards :musc:
Brady is tied for the third fastest player to 25,000 yards. He did it in his first 107 games, and so did Warren Moon and Brett Favre. Marino did it in 92 games and Peyton Manning in 97.

I just don't understand the nickle and dime packages the whole game?
They made Feeley look like Payton Manning.
Exciting game to watch, Tom Brady is one great player.

I saw nothing new out there last night. What I saw Reid employ was the same basic game plan that Parcells used to beat the Bills in that Super Bowl, when he coached the Giants.

Control the ball and keep a high powered offense off the field as long as possible. The Pats punted twice all night. They turned it over on downs once, and missed a FG. They scored on all 3 first half possessions. They just didn't have the number of possessions that they've enjoyed in their blowout games, because Philly was sustaining their drives and scoring off them.

Contol the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. How many times did the Eagles have second and short on their scoring drives? How much pressure did the Pats bring on Feeley, even after they went to a 4 man front with two LBs in a nickel set?

Bring pressure on the QB, make him hurry his throws. Brady's "mistakes" are having the ball hit the ground at a receiver's feet rather than interceptions, but they are still mistakes caused by hurrying his throws under pressure.

The Pats did not have a "bad game" last night. They were up against a team that had an excellent game plan, but moreover, had the horses to execute it. Lito Sheppard has been one of the best shut-down corners in the NFC for awhile now. He got a year's worth of experience covering TO in practice every day three seasons ago.

I don't think anyone will be exempt from the wrath of Bill after he dissects the film. Even the running backs, who were basically relegated to the sideline all night. (They'll get theirs for missed pass blocks, no doubt) Bet he pulled an all nighter in the film room. Will probably be a brutal week of practice. Did they expose their flaws for all to see?

or is it all part of the master plan, to expose a hole they feel they can close at will???????

I noticed how clear you could hear Brady at the line also, I can't understand how that can happen. The Colts get away with pumping up the crowd noise and the NFL squashes that within a half hour of investigation :rollem: gimme a break, NBC should be looked into by the league or by the Pats for those audibles live on TV, not that it made any difference or anything but it sure was strange.

Does anyone know how many come from behind wins that gives Brady? He's gotta be catching up to the leader soon.

yep, more audible info in that tape than the 12 minute of the Jets game.........
