Anyone know what happened to Charlie Soares? I haven't heard him lecture in quite some time. He's one guy I really enjoy listening to and always looked forward to seeing at this show.

...and does anyone know if the fish-EYE'd Vodka drinker has new stuff or just old stuff in Hi-Def ?

I missed the show last year but will probably make this one.

Anyone else plan on attending?

Not sure about him and East Bay Angler's Show, but Charlie was in the shop today dropping off a batch of his new book "Stemming the Tide".

All copies are signed and ready to ship for $16.95 plus shipping.

I got my hands on a copy of Charley's new book over the weekend and read it in two sittings - excellent!! It's not a how-to book like his tube and worm book (also great) but is stories about people and places in his life as a fisherman. However, I picked up a lot of tips in the stories. The best part is Charley's style - if you've ever heard him speak, its like he's sitting there talking to you. A great winter read!!

I got my copy directly from Charley. He will sign it if you order directly from him. $19.95 plus $3.00 for postage. Great book and a great read. I am enjoying every page. You can get to Charley via email @ Charley [linesiders@verizon.net]
