Quoth the Ravens: Refs the difference

Patriots defenders not out front in stopping Ravens' run game
Week 11
Cornerback Chris McAlister indicated that the playing field was uneven.

"It's hard to go out there and play the Patriots and the refs at the same time," he said after New England pulled out a 27-24 victory. "They put the crown on top, and they want them to win.

"The refs, they're horrible. That's the bottom line. They made a lot of bad calls and it is what it is. They'll send in their little report to say that we made a mistake on this one, and this should have been that, but it's too late."

Linebacker Terrell Suggs indicated the referees made calls in favor of the Patriots at the end of the game.

"It's kind of the feeling of the 2001 tuck rule. That is the NFL for you, man," he said. "When they got a guy like [Tom Brady] that is selling a lot of tickets, you want to keep him selling tickets."

Added receiver Derrick Mason: "It's kind of like that old Bulls team when they were running the table. You were playing against Jordan, Pippen and the bunch and it was hard to beat them because everyone was on their side. That's the way it is now. You've got Brady and the bunch. It's hard to beat them when you're playing against them and extra people."

Wahhh I want my blanky...what a disgrace...shut up and play.

Aha, saw Scott flip out last night too, picked up a flag right before the pats last touchdown, and just chucked it. I've never heard so many unsportsmanship like playing penalties. another nail biting game.

I think the Ravens were totally disregarding holding and interference rules. I think they felt like they had nothing to lose by just clobbering receivers and holding rushers since they'd get killed if they didn't.

The play that killed them was the time out. That wasn't a ref call , that was their coaches.

Great game to watch though. A nail bieter to the very end!

I really think the Ravens played about the dirtiest game I've seen all season. They deserved to lose and they did.

The foolish unsportsmanlike penalties back to back worth 30 yards didnt help the Ravens either. Pro Bowl players losing control like that? Shocker!:kewl:

As for the time out; the Pats got lucky but the Raven's defense should be in sync with the coaching staff.

The Ravens will fold up the rest of the year. Yesterday they had the Pats playing poorly and they still couldn't get it done.

BTW- Ravens DB's you cant tackle Moss UNTIL he catches the ball.:call:

After the victory over the Steelers in the AFC Championship game Cordell Stewart stated "The best team did not win today". I always felt that was the epitome of poor sportsmanship and crybaby antics.

The Ravens played a good game. Kept pressure on Brady; made some good passes; made some good runs. Give them credit - they almost won. As far as their comments go, put yourself in their place. They're making comments seconds after a game that they could have won, but THEY blew it! That's tough to swallow. :realmad:

It was a reference I let go when the kick went through the goal posts.

That happens every week in the NFL. Very rarely do the players lashout at the refs or anybody else. In my opinion and remember it my OPINION they acted like a bunch of crybabies. This doesn't mean they are bad people, its there reaction I am disapointed with.

They should be looking at their coaching staff and not the refs!!!
Worst coaching job I have seen this year!!!
Even Moss was amazed at all the "trash talk" going on during the game!!!

I heard on the radio this morning that one of the Steeler linebackers was "guaranteeing a win" this weekend against the pats.

Haven't they learned that provoking the team you're playing against usually doesn't work?

It tends to BLOW UP in your face!

We'll see if the Steelers have got themselves a real Nostrodamus or not.

"GO PATS"
