While we're on the subject of substance abuse .. Just had a family member come out of rehab .. Oxy habit 3k a week ... been working on this habit 4 yrs... He seemed normal . Looking back there were signs but thought it was stressed related. The subject is an adult male with a wife and 2 teenage kids . Wife found a pill on the floor ,, checked it on line .Its oxy. He denide it .. Cut a piece of his hair when he was sleeping and sent to a lab she found online .. They said it was positive.. He still swore up and down dening it.. She called and asked if there could be a mistake . They said He's lieing ... He's the highest levels we have ever seen .. Off to rehab .. Had to have a pill before he left ..Re hab is full .. If he didn't get down there by the after noon the last bed would be gone. This is the scary part .. Rehab is full of people on oxy . Alot of kids on heroin .. This is how this happens .. A kid gets some oxy $60 -$70 dollars a pill . They fall in love , Then they're hooked . Heroin is only $10 a bag and will keep the monkey off your back. So they become heroin addicts. From what I understand oxy is synthetic heroin .. Here's the kicker .. god damm the pusher man .. right ? Alot of these pills come from the elderly selling there scripts .. suplements there income to afford health inssurance .. This is a huge problem in this country with theft and burglary crimes related .. This stuff shouldn't even exist .. If you suspect ,,, cut some hair .. oxy junkys act regular ... they're not glassy eyed , staggering around ,,

A story............a few weeks ago an old guys dies who had cancer. Tough guy. Wanted to feel the pain to know he was still alive. Wife kept getting the oxy's and putting them in the bathroom. Guy never took them. Old guy passes on. Daughter comes to help mom clean up after the funeral. Daughter find about 300 oxy's in the bathroom. Asks mom what they are. Daughter says I'll flush them. After daughter comes out fo bathroom mom looks in daughters handbag. Mom flushes them and lets daughter have it. Daughter doesn't do drugs but knew where to sell them. Scumbag. Drug dealers are the foremost threat to our nations security.

I hope for a full recovery for him Eddie...thank God he made it to rehab and hope he heard something there.

One of the worst things (because there are many) relative to the Oxy problem is the fact that OC's are the only thing that allow some people with debilitating diseases to live in any kind of comfort whatsoever. The widespread abuse of them will probably cause them to be outlawed at some point. I read somewhere that only a fraction of the Oxy's manufactured can be accounted for as being sold through legitimate channels.
