Given where I live and all, I do nearly100% of my Christmas shopping online, have for years now and I have no complaints. I haven't been to a shopping mall in several years, I think the last time was when mass bass held their show in a mall. And I went to the show and not the mall. This year I found myself off island on other business with some free time and went to a large mall. It felt kinda weird. First, the traffic approaching the mall was insane and it probably took me 30 minutes longer to get to the place due to the traffic. So I get to the lot and it is packed after driving around for 5 min I see a lady leaving and zip into her spot. I walk up to the mall and go in and find the mega store I was looking for and went looking for a specific item I know they should have. I see several on the shelf but not exactly the model I needed. I go the the sales guy and tell him my delima. He has a glazed over look to him. I wanted to show him the item on the shelf but he wouldn't walk do the isle with me and took out a catalog. Look he said, you can order exactly what you want online!:splat:
Yeah I said, but I am here now....Sorry, you can order this online.
I drove back home and ordered it (thru another vendor). No tax and free shipping. I doubt you see me go thru that hassle again anytime soon. The retail build up that has gone on is so insane I think it is due to implode on itself.
What did you expect?????To have a good experience at the mall???? :rotflmao:

The only time you see me shopping is never.
The only time I have been to a mall is to meet to exchange gear

I think it's been at least half a decade since I've set foot in actual mall.

I love the malls this time of year
I love the christmas feel
I love the insanity of the people running around... It makes me feel that someone needs medication more than I do.

The malls are only good the 1st 90 degree day of the season :heybaby:
...to stupid people trying to massage your hair when you don't have any :hs:
I feel that way about the "manicure" booth.....Dont try to put that crap on me. I fell....well actually my friend fell for it once and they wouldnt leave me be until I tried their stupid hand lotion....which quickly turned my skin flaming red!!!! "there you go ding dong, happy now"???
The retail build up that has gone on is so insane I think it is due to implode on itself.
you would think so.... but you yourself are witnessing the hordes at the brick & mortars. Even outside of christmass, if you drive down rt.2 in warwick durring prime time, it is an insane assylum. A couple of months ago I had to kill an hour in the middle of the day on a rainy wednesday, so I figured i would go dream about a new TV at Best Buy. The lot was FULL, and the store was HOPPIN! At 2PM on a WEDS!
I guess the general populace is too stupid/afraid/ignorant to shop online, because the brick and mortar retailers are PACKED. Even in this "slow" economy.
