My sons youth soccer is really putting a damper on my fishing time Nope - not with me either but WORK has really screwed it up :af:

OK - here's the deal... We meet up at M&D's Bait and Tackle in Wareham Mass (the map will be on the bottom of this post), figure around 2pm, burn some food for a few hours then go hit the beaches for some fish. We tend to spread out as 30 people descending on one little parcel of land can be tough.

Everyone fishes in smaller groups of members, usually based on how & where people fish and then go out to C&R some bahhhhssss...

We're starting a little early as high tide runs almost a couple hours before sunset.

This little tourney is open to anyone registered here @ S-B, there are no, err, fees (although you want to bring some grub :p ). In order to compete for pizes, you must have been a member for a week before tourney and have a minimum of ten posts...

Oh yeh, Next weekend, Saturday October 5 is in Rhody!

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!!

Hey there Toby.If you don't get down to the rocks sometime soon,we're thinking of giving your rock to a real caster

JohnR

Toby - I'm not exactly certain andf we'll need a discussion on another thread for this...

Whereas a lot of other fish were caught at the 1st 2 legs, all were under 36 inches with the closest fish at about 33 if I remember correctly. Then we figured we would include the Cutty Trip into the C&R Tourney where I got a 36.5 inch bass witnessed by Specialist. The next Cutty trip I got a fat 41.5" bass, also witnessed by Specialist (from now on Bill, yer fishing with me :hihi: ) and Goose got a 42 incher when fishing solo (kinda supposed to be witnessed). Now the problem is that none of us turned in slips signed by anyone. So I think we'll need a discussion on this over the week to figure it out. Fortunately, all entered fish must be C & R'd to count and we can have this discussion next week. And who knows, with the fall run, 42 inches might not stand :eek5: :D

BTW - I will be lookning for a Tournet Board next year....

Sounds good people - shaping up for tomorrow...

Goose is hoping to make it tomorrow but he won't be early enough to grill. So if someone has one they can bring for tomorrow, please reply to this tonight. If not, I'll see what I can scrape up for tomorrow. My regular grille does not fit in the little rice burner  :laughs:

Capesams - you da man!

We're looking to start rolling at 2 pm - is that good with you? Mucho Thanks :btu:

Stuff we'll still need:

Plasticware and condiments!

Shore Manic - yeh, I like the Shelbys. But the GT40 is still my gal. Shelby did not have that much to do with those though and the Cobra Daytona, now THAT needs to be redone, on the Series one, eh?

For those of you living in the northeastern region of the US... Consider a trip to the small community beaches of Maine! Stripers to 52'' have been reported by local avid fisherman... enough to get even the most skillful surf and fly fisherman psyched. I personally caught a good 40 fish in a week in an UNDISCLOSED location... you will have to ask the enthusiasts, or determine for yourself just where to wet the line. Happy fishing!
