I'm looking to build a pencil / metal lip swimmer rod this winter. I have narrowed it down to these two blanks. I have never fished either one so I need some input from any of you guys that have. I will be fishing mostly open beaches throwing 2 1/2oz to 4oz plugs, If I could find an
S-glass 136 2M I would wrap that but no luck there. Any one have any input on these blanks. Thanks and Merry Christmas.

If you want to throw up to four ounce plugs the 1321L will NOT be the blank for you in my opinion. You'll have to cut it down from the tip to beef it up to throw big plugs efficiently. A better choice in that series would be a 1321M.

The 136 2M won't handle the 4 oz stuff all that well, either.

I'll second the 132 1M and throw in the 136 3M if you want to go glass.
