You've gotta give the Giants some credits here...they played one hell of a game...some really hard football.

But we won :hee:

Until the last ten minutes. Then the Eli we've all come to know and love reared his ugly forehead.. The Giant's clock management in the last five minutes of the game was awful.. That's what separates good teams from championship teams..

Poor clock management usually results from the sidelines, not the huddle.

The Giants have one of the worst offensive coordinators in all of football--Kevin Gilbride. Whose major claim to fame is getting punched in the mouth on national TV by Buddy Ryan when they were both assistants with the Oilers. :rotflmao:

Jackass sent an e-mail. they read it on the post game. Still mouthing off about them not being in the neighborhood. A bunch of the 72 dolphins e-mailed some boneheaded comments that they read

Unless you've got a QB trying to get the team to the line of scrimmage, trying to set his formation, not knowing where to direct his players etc..QB also has the ability to call a timeout and stop the clock...

The QB shouldn't have to direct his formation--they've been running some plays since training camp, and any new plays put in the rotation for any particular game should be worked on ad nauseum in the week's practice. He shouldn't have to direct his formation even when he audibles. Having to direct linemen and receivers after breaking the huddle is a sign of poor coaching. And wasting TOs is as much a part of clock management as getting the play set.

Why would you spike the ball with 5 minutes on the clock? Or even 3 minutes? They scored a TD with more than a minute remaining. If they recovered the onside kick, they would have still had a timeout and would only need two first downs to be in FG range to tie the game.
