a few months back i introduced everyone to my mangy mutt we adopted. a 8 mos old who was in a sorry state. his previous owner did not treat his case mange and it got more than out of control.

the shelter said it was on the mend when we decided to take him (a little tip) don't believe what the people at the shelter tell you... though there intentions are good they want the animals out and going to good homes so think of them as salesmen.

well its been 5 months and about 1000 bucks later.
at the beginning we weren't sure if it was worth it but now, worth every penny. turned into a sweet well adjusted pooch

before.

we are now pretty sure there it a good chunk of husky in him. he stays out in the snow for hours at a time and will NOT come in

Glad to see the dog in a nice home. Looks like him and the cat are good friends. Who controls the TV clicker. If you hunt - is the dog going to put up any birds for you? I use to hunt in Groveland when I was a kid. Use to be great partridge country. I may have hunted where your house now stands. :bc: :( :bc:

no hunting in his future, just fishing. though i have no doubt he would jump at the opportunity.

perhaps behind my house... plenty of woods but... this house has been standing for 120 years so that would make you pretty old if you hunted here :tooth:

thats awsome you know where groveland is. not many people do. usually they think out in western mass somewhere. (thats ok by me :hidin: )

Or when they advertize a dog as a "lab mix" and it turns out to be 3/4 pit bull and 1/4 lab :D

Not that it made a difference once we showed up and were introduced to the big lug. He's a total wimp--our little 4 year old female shelter rat kicks his ass regularly. :jester:

My brother and I spent a lot of time there. Rabbit, grouse and woodchucks. There was farmer that let us hunt chucks. Man what a spot that was. I went back to take a look a few years ago :bc::bc:. Gone. House is still there, but so are many others. Sad to see, but glad to have experienced "the good old days"when I had the chance. :wavey:
