I can't tell in the pic, new Z?

I had a couple of those 240 & 260 Zs...

Several MR-2s

3 Fieros :D

But if I got a new sports car it would be a slightly used Mustang Bullit or the new Mustang Mach1 for 2003...

Price no obejct, the GT40 - BIG FRIEKING THUMBS UP :D :D :D

 350 Z

JohnR

That 350Z would get it's rice ass WHOOOOPED by a GT40, real or imagined... And if I hit Powerball, I'll buy Bloo one (the Z) to prove it :D

Actually, I saw one on the road, overall, I liked it. But the tail end of the car is a little muddled and doesn't look well integrated... Just my opinion...

..to be honest with you, I preferred the previous body style in comparison to the new one...but I'll always LOVE the Z series...rice patties or not :p

...lets take em' on a windy road ;) ...not a straight away

Good Luck with the PowerBall John...I'll be waiting

..straightaway, autobahn, curvaceous... don't make no difference.

GT40 - 500HP / 2700 pounds / 5.4 pounds per horsepower
350Z - 287HP / 3200 pounds / 11.1 pounds per horsepower
Corvette - 300-400 / 3200 pounds / 8-10.6 pounds per horsepower
Viper - 500HP / 3400 pounds / 6.8 pounds per horsepower

Chassis

As on the historic car, the composite body panels are unstressed. Instead of steel or honeycomb-composite tubs used in the 1960s, Ford's SVT Engineering group developed an all-new aluminum spaceframe as the foundation for the GT40 concept. It features four-wheel independent suspension with unequal-length control arms and longitudinally mounted spring-damper units to allow for its low profile.

Braking is handled by six-piston aluminum Alcon calipers with cross-drilled and vented rotors at all four corners. When the rear canopy is opened, the rear suspension components and engine become the car's focal point. Precision-milled aluminum suspension components and attached 19-inch Goodyear tires - combined with the overwhelming presence of the V-8 powertrain - create a striking appearance and communicate the GT40 concept's performance credentials.

Powertrain

The powerplant is an all-American V-8 from Ford's modular engine family. The MOD 5.4-liter V-8 in the GT40 concept features aluminum four-valve heads, forged crankshaft, H-beam forged rods and aluminum pistons fed by a supercharger, all combining to make more than 500 horsepower and 500 foot-pounds of torque. These figures match or exceed those of the most powerful period GT40, a car that could handily top 200 mph on the Mulsanne straight at Le Mans. Because of the supercharger and high-revving, free-breathing valvetrain, the new car produces this astounding power from an efficient 5.4-liter V-8 engine. The power is put to the road through an RBT six-speed manual

AWWWW!!!!! I WANT ONE!!!!!

Am I alone, or is anyone in here not interested in cars? Is anyone concerned with what gets u there and not how it looks?? Maybe its just me. I mean, I'd so much rather have a Dodge Ram than an 80,000 car, simple because the Ram could crush it. I beleive in trux, Ram is the ruler. Ford Sux. Found on road dead, fixed or repaired daily. Who agrees??:)

You gotta admit, If this baby had a head on collision with any of the cars listed above, no matter how sexy they look, THE RAM WOULD CRUSH THERE ASSES!!!

My dad hooked his
'99 Ram 1500 Slt 5.9 V8 magnum to a
2002 Ford F-250 Powerstroke Diesel ,, bumper 2 Bumper--with chain from the hitch to the other hitch,,,and we pulled it while the fords tires were spinning!! , The ford hit 4whl Low and still spun!!!! ha ha :p that help ? :D :p LOL

aww shucks, this goes from a thread of a 'lil riceburner and the most beautifull FAST car ever designed - the 35 year old GT40, to a talk about Dodge Trucks? How did we go so low? To get to Dodge? C'mon now. Dodge? Dodge doesn't make SANDSLEDS (and Durangos don't count)

Striper SniperX

John R,,
That's a nice 'sled' But i still have to say,, the Dodge Ram would Pull that little bronco Around with ease,,,lol,,,Just Pulling your Leg.....
Hey,,, you can put a bed Cap on a lil' Dodge Dakota and it does the same deal as the Bronco (but looks a bit better ;) ) lol!

I don't like Ford Trucks ,, Personally,,(I like the Mustang, Tho) ,,and some of you may Love Fords,,, all Personal Choice ,,,, but when you own a Ram and see what it can do... you'll never buy a ford again,,, :)

Well,
Personally,, even when i ride in a ford i'm worried what's going to happen if we get in an accident,, Better yet,, even if i hear a rattle i think the axle is about to break the Frame, pop out thru the Bed and bounce off the nice Dodge ram in the next lane (putting a little scuff mark on it ) then rolling past a Dodge Durango To hit us again,,tottaling the Ford ?? LOL Just playing with you Ford Guys ,.Calm down ;)

Lol. This is a never ending Argument,, Ford Vs. Chevy Vs. Dodge... who know's I also love Chevys/Gmc Trucks,,, That would be my second Choice Besides the Ram,,- That New Chevy 4 wheel Turning Is Neat,,
As well as the New-Updated 340 hp HEMI 5.7ltr in the new Dodge Rams,, (that will get you to your fishing spots a bit faster, huh?)

:smash:
It's All Fun!

Have A good one Guys!
