Many might not know it but Tony Sr was the guy who came up with the original Needlefish Wad shape that superstrike, habs, beachmaster etc all used. He was quite a fisherman. I was fortunate to meet him a few times. His plugs were innovative and always off the wall for shapes and colors but he knew right how to make a plug swim and catch a fish :kewl:

My condolences to Tony jr and his mom :(
Very sorry to hear this today when Karl told me.
He had a great talent and loved fishing.
I met him once out on Nauset and he introduced me to his son.
I have a few of his plugs and they are certainly innovative and unique, but mostly they were made to catch fish.
