Gotta love the color Blurple,I think I have a couple of Yo-Zuri plugs that are that color:bl2:
Common sense fell short on that task,I was dealing with sheet metal.I was a tempting to boar a 5/8" hole through a small peice of sheet metal,I was just about through & one of the teeth caught and spun the whole peice like a propeller:kewl:

With all of the last minute things to get done, having a couple of cold ones and being careless the thumb is busting oughta them stiches:heybaby:

I had a thumb that looked just like that about a decade ago. Lathe chip I attempted to pull off the machine. I love when they jam the needle right into it so they can numb it up to stitch. I almost punched the doctor. Can you feel your heartbeat thru it. Sorry

It's funny you mention that,I really don't mind the poking and pressure of the sutureing, but the initial repetition of the Novocain needle sucked.
While he was doing the deed blood just pissed out & the sad part was I couldn't feel it.
All layers of skin was cut, when the bleeding stoped you could clearly see inside,it was pretty cool to see the different layers and texture, the pitfall was "it was my thumb"Chit!I hate when it's my extremity:jester:

Since we're sharing pics & stories I couldn't leave out my attempt at the Darwin award.

While putting down a pressure treated 2"x12"x24' from my shoulder (I was at one end...brother at other end) my hand slid along the edge and presto.....instant tooth pick!

Needless to say I wear work gloves whenever I pickup heavy lumber now.

Ouch. They had to cut it out? That is some splinter. Need vise grips or maybe some zircon encrusted tweezers. I'd blame your brother. BTW thank you for the metal.

Wow,that takes the cake!
I guess they cut it out, making sure it all came out VS traditional pulling the bastage it out:tooth:.

Fellow worker, not the sharpest tool in the shed, pulled his little finger off at the palm. Not cut, pulled. If I told you how he did it you would shake your head. I saved it in the fridge, after I found it, till the ambulance came. They med flew him up to Boston from Tobey. Couldn't reattach it. When he did it he said it didn't even hurt, shock I told him. Man just thinking about that he was a stupid sob. Glad he moved on to something else. We used to say, Hey Will give me a high 4. He got some cash from ins. company. They have certain cash award amounts for things you lose like eyes, and arms, and of course fingers and such.
