Tattoo 01-17-2008, 08:57 AM First and foremost, there has been a slight change to our appearance at the RISAA show this year. We will be present, but relocated and will be occupying space with The Saltwater Edge. Our full line of products will be on display and the Tattoo's Tackle Team will be on hand to answer questions and hear your comments about our product line. The Saltwater Edge will be well stocked with the complete line in case you're in the mood for some shopping. We are excited to have the chance to team up with the Saltwater Edge, and as always, we look forward to putting on a show.
On the web, we have updated the color chart with the new colors for 2008. Zuri, and Radio Active have already proven themselves in the 2007 season and are now available across the full product line. Radio Active has been a hot color for the field testers and myself included, especially in the 3oz Darter. A few people have seen how effective that color has been in dirty water, hopefully they will chime in with their views.
Lastly, Big Wood! Check our recent write-up in the Shallow Water Angler magazine by none other than Capt. Jim White. Jim has been in the game a long time and it was great to get his seal of approval on our metal lip swimmers. You can read this and more write ups and reviews in the press section of the website.
All this and more is available online at www.tattoostackle.com. Be sure to sign up for the newsletter!

plankton 01-17-2008, 09:53 PM Will everlasting eels be available in that radioactive color?
Tattoo 01-18-2008, 05:41 AM Plankton,
Yes, all the plugs come in all the colors.
Got a radio actice darter in Montauk this fall.I happen to be a big fan of chartruese. It was calling for me from the package I had to have it.
Had a few fish with it in the limited time I used it.
Flaptail 01-18-2008, 06:03 AM Very nice. I got the urge to fish more darters this year.
Tattoo 01-18-2008, 07:25 AM NIB,
I believe there has been study by some people in VA ( fish and wild life, or marine fisheries, or some other higer ups ) about what colors striped bass can see. Chartreuse is dead center in the color spectrum of what they can see. Makes sense because it's always been a great color to fish.
During the first outing with that colored darter I outfished my good friend Rob "Bobcat" Taylor something like 6 to one. I made the mistake of showing it to Kadir and haven't seen the plug since, hence I had to paint more. Word got out and here it is.
bloocrab 01-18-2008, 07:27 AM I'm not really interested in catching fish, I just want to look good while trying............
Will you have any hats available? :buds:
I know, I'm still a PITA, .... but I still owe you for pushing me in the brink that night. . . . . ...:vamp:
Tattoo 01-18-2008, 07:33 AM Gil,
I know your highly concerned with your image as many anglers are. Because of this I'm currently working on some t-shirts that should really add some flare to your wadrobe and allow you to rank right up there with the rest of the fashion gurus in the fishing world.
With some luck, these will be available at the RISAA show......along with some hats.
bloocrab 01-18-2008, 07:58 AM :D I LOVE YOU MAN!!!.......
Not sure if I ever showed it to you, but I made a drawing some years ago that I think would be GREAT for advertising your product line - I just have to find it....it involves "Tattoo-ing"........did I ever get to show it to ya??

i remember when mike first showed me that 3oz darter in radioactive 2 years ago. we'd be fishing, he'd put that one and sure enough it would pull some notable catches in - clear water, stained water, big water, etc. then, this same day mike was referring to outfishing rob, he took a few fish over 25 with the same colored lure, which outfished other colors and lures that day. some of it is technique, some of it is the lure, but some of it was definitely the color radioactive.
i could use a radioactive diving swimmer. :uhuh:
NIGHT STRIKES 01-18-2008, 09:59 AM i could use a radioactive diving swimmer. :uhuh:

Black Betty's in the bottom,

She's bringing some po sucker,
With an achin soul.
She'll bring you here and leave you,
Let your hammer ring,
For a hundred summers,
Let your hammer ring.
(and now we hear the most familiar part of the song)
Black Betty's got a baby,
Let your hammer ring,
Damn thing's gone crazy,
Let your hammer ring,
Dipped its head in gravy,
Let your hammer ring

You know what really amazes me about Chartreuse is that it doesn't appear naturally in any form of fish that bass would eat as food, yet it's a top color in plugs and flies for bass. Go figure?
Keep up the good work Mike.
