Shore Maniac and I hit Powder Point (on the beach) this AM, without a touch, mostly. Talked to a guy from Baymen Outfitters, he did the bridge for two hours with the same results. There was a dead seal on the bayside beach (east side), so perhaps the seals in the area have chased the fish away.
BUT......we headed to Plymouth and was treated to a mini blitz of small stripers....we measured one at about 23", I lost one much bigger than that.....I had about 4-5 hook ups in a 1/2 hour....birds all over, fish breaking in front of us, next to us, BEHIND us, at our feet.....but they kept moving around and fast....would be there for five minutes, then move north, then move south, then move east, then move back again. I think we wore ourselves out chasing them.
But it was fun.....:)
