I have two rods with a similar color scheme. wfmdfm 01-30-2008, 07:18 PM Very nice! If thats your early rods your recent must be great. beamie 01-31-2008, 08:44 AM Very Nice Chris, I love the Trimar Colors, especially the black and gold. The irregularitiy of them hides some flaws.....but I can't see any in your pic:kewl: That must be size C Trimar with D black and D gold metallic over? reelecstasy 01-31-2008, 12:35 PM :btu: from what I remember taJon 01-31-2008, 03:04 PM Very Nice Chris, I love the Trimar Colors, especially the black and gold. The irregularitiy of them hides some flaws.....but I can't see any in your pic:kewl: That must be size C Trimar with D black and D gold metallic over? WOW! How did you know that? Must have built one or two I'm guessing. Goose 01-31-2008, 03:49 PM wicked nice 1st wrap beamie 02-01-2008, 10:56 PM WOW! How did you know that? Must have built one or two I'm guessing. TaJon, I have only wrapped maybe 20 rods in the last 2 years or so. Actually took a class with Reel Ecstasy and from there was off to the races. Some rods rods were new from scratch some old and rewrapped. Once you get into the sickness of building your own it gets additive and you can pick sizes by eye. Its a great hobby. taJon 02-02-2008, 07:52 PM I totally agree. I went very simple on my first, but some others have since inspired me to try for more. Where did you take a class? Seems interesting. beamie 02-03-2008, 12:04 PM One of the long time Mass Bass guys named Art Kaplan sometimes runs a class through the club in the winter. It was relatively basic but lots of advice. He helped tons, but I also skimmed thru various books for pointers. After that it really just comes down to getting better with every rod. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
