View Full Version : Does this mean ? Raider Ronnie 02-04-2008, 12:21 AM Does the Pats loosing mean there won't be a "Rollin Rally" in Boston tuesday :rotf2: wrikerjr 02-04-2008, 06:53 AM ronnie, this loss means a lot of things. No rollinr rally is just one of them. Billy ProfessorM 02-04-2008, 09:46 AM You can gloat Ron but at least we had a chance. Your opinion is a weak one being you root for a team that has been and probably will be irrelevant for a long time. Sorry, just disappointed today. Game of inches and we just came up a few inches short. Raider Ronnie 02-04-2008, 07:09 PM You can gloat Ron but at least we had a chance. Game of inches and we just came up a few inches short. Ya gotta admit, The arrogance of lots of Pats fans (plenty here) and guys on talk radio, ect... was a bit much (and stupid) with proclaiming the team the greatest ever, Brady best ever, Belichick best ever, guys here and on talk radio predicting they would blow every team out by 30+ points, ect.... especially with plenty of games left to play! Slipknot 02-04-2008, 07:11 PM most everyone including the players expected them to win, we are and have been spoiled around here. that's just how it goes. next year 19-0 :hihi: MrHunters 02-04-2008, 08:06 PM Does the Pats loosing mean there won't be a "Rollin Rally" in Boston tuesday :rotf2: rolling ralley?? ohhhh i think you mean woaling walley  BassDawg 02-04-2008, 08:08 PM Hello, Raider Ronnie! And so you're saying that just because they didn't win the SB, that they didn't break and set the NFL records that they set? 18-0 most catches by a WR in a SB game 16-0 most TD's by a QB in regular season most TD recepts by a WR in regular season most points scored by a team in regular season 8 pro bowlers going to Hawaii! this team will continue to dominate and their legacy is only beginning. This is nothing more than a minor glitch in the road, that will lead to perfection or just more damn SB than any past or modern QB to ever lace them up, Coach to ever study film, and Franchise to ever field a team. If you think that one less ring makes them any less of a TEAM, then you sir, are sadly mistaken. 19-0 COUNT on it !! You seem angry ! riverrat55 02-04-2008, 09:14 PM Just goes to show you that any team can win the SuperBowl!!! EVEN THE RAIDERS!!!(LOL"S!!!) BassDawg 02-05-2008, 12:07 PM Do you think that Eli Manning gives a rat's ass today about setting the SB record for 3rd down conversions on an opening drive or for most 4th quarter lead changes? :biglaugh: :rotf2: Hey, Mike P! Just stating some facts about Raider Ronnie's unreasonable assumption that one loss, although monumental, somehow diminishes the Greatness of these Patriots. Granted, it is the equivalent of losing one's front end after going thru that canyon-like pothole that you didn't see coming...........................yet, this team's legacy is only beginning, their Dynasty is in it's middle years, and i was merely stating how and why this team is being talked about from top to bottom as the best team that ever suited up! NUMB, yes! Angry, no! That being said, I would like to express my heart-felt CONGRATULATIONS to your NewYork Giants, Mike! They handed our hats to us on both sides of the ball, and especially so on the sidelines and in the lockerroom at halftime. You should be very pleased with your team's EFFORT and the CONFIDENCE that your team displayed, and i would much rather lose that way, getting my tail kicked in, than lose by either "wide right" or my opponent "splitting the uprights". So, let me be the first to admit that i was WRONG about yer GGGGG-Men, Big Eli, your well spoken D-Line, Plax's smax, and those stinkin' black suits ~funeral, indeed! Your guys Outcoached us, they Outhussled us, and you Outfootballed what most experts agree is still the Greatest Franchise in the NFL. Youse guys came to PLAY, and PLAY you did. May this smell and taste of VICTORY be sweet and savory, as our sting of defeat numbs and confuses the entirity of Patriot Nation. WELL DONE, Giants Fans, WELL DONE ~ SUPER BOWL XLII CHAMPIONS! BassDawg 02-05-2008, 12:19 PM You seem angry ! Not angry, rather ~numb and confused by many of the gametime decisions. Merely stating some facts and keeping the emotion out of it. Records do mean something, as they are the markers of our Greatest Teams and the system by which we measure GREATNESS! SB wins are a huge factor, but do you honestly think that THESE Patriots ~the way they are constructed and constituted~ will not get to the SB again, or more importantly, that they are not capable of WINNING more than one more? I dunno what's worse a Stankees fan hoopin' and hollerin' about NY beating Boston again, or all these other fans ~who didn't have a dog in the fight, like you~ rooting against the Patriots because of their Greatness and not because they like the Giants. FRAUDS, everyone of them! Haters to the core! By the way, when do you project your "team" to be relevant, again? 2015, '20, '25  :rotflmao: :rotflmao: ? Most of the members have come to terms with the loss suffered on Sunday and have offered, Graciously, our Congratulations to the Members who are Giants Fans. We have also come to terms That, with the Superbowl Loss, The 2007 Patriots can not be Declared as one of the Greatest teams ever. Since it was determined, in Past threads discussing great teams, that Winning the big One has to be part of said Declaration. We would also like to state that Any Comments from Fans of other teams are falling on Deaf ears as they really didn't have anything emotionally invested in the Superbowl.....especially those who's teams were eliminated from the Play-offs before the 1st Snow Fall of the Season (as a matter of fact they haven't won a Superbowl in more than 2 Decades)......as they are just slowly turning into crotchety old men who take joy in the failings of others. The Iceman 6 02-05-2008, 01:46 PM It really comes down to winning the superbowl. Pats would of traded a perfect season for it hands-down. Big Blue wanted it more, they were hungrier for it and won every aspect of that game. In 20 years, all people will remember is that the Giants won it and it will go down as one of the biggest upsets of all time and prob. the best 4th Q of all time. The 2008 SB will be in top 5. So, Kevin, if/when the Patriots continue their dominance and greatness for the next three to four years are you saying that they had to WIN last Sunday at ALL costs of future Greatness? I believe that THESE Pats are capable of much more (2 more rings ~at least), and the embarassment of this missed opportunity will drive them to be that much better next year. Don't see these players walking around with their tails between their legs, do you? The Dad Fisherman 02-05-2008, 03:18 PM So, Kevin, if/when the Patriots continue their dominance and greatness for the next three to four years are you saying that they had to WIN last Sunday at ALL costs of future Greatness? If there Dominance and Greatness the next 3-4 years Includes an SB victory or 2 then No, they didn't have to win last Sunday......But if it doesn't include Superbowl Wins...Abso-freakin-lutely they had to win last Sunday......but let them win them before we Coronate them and as far as Greatest team Ever.....that is usually Judged on a Single Season (et. al. 72 Dolphins, 84 Niners,) so they blew their chance for that recognition this season Mike P 02-05-2008, 04:47 PM *********Disclaimer********** The Views and Opinions of Bassdawg are not necesarilly those of S-B.com and its membership.
