Perfect pencils. Also like the idea to use bungee cord.

Thanks.....time got away from me this winter.....I am hot on the trail now.

The bungee idea works great for loading different size plugs. On the far end of the plug spinner I mounted a PVC end cap with three thumb screws so i can use it to spin rods while the epoxy cures.....works pretty good.

Nice!

You really need any other color than White???

With topwater, it's all about visibility...my ability to monitor how it's working/I'm working it and a fish's ability to see it.

Love the PVC spinner!

Thanks.
I actually found the yellow out fishes the white, that being said, I don't buy into the "color scheme" thing to much.....I stick to light shades on bright days and darker shades on darker days.......at least with Pencils.....

I make and fish pencils a lot. I haven't noticed much difference between white and yellow (I paint both colors) as far as catching fish. However I paint a bunch Flourescent Orange and find them to be very effective, especially in the rips when squid are around, and I can see them. They seem to be more effective then than any other color and I've tried everything from whites, yellows, amber, pinks, tans, wonderbread clown and a 2 tone that I call Dunkin (Flourescent orange and Flourescent Pink). Flourescent Orange seems to work everywhere with white a close second. In low light conditions I think the water kills the Flourescent effect for the fish and they make a great dark color plug.

Yours look great! I just need you to paint a bunch of Flourescent Orange ones before I show up in your shop.
