Has anyone used the tormenter tackle shell squids? Are they durable? They offer a few colors I haven't been able to find anywhere else.

They are a decent shell squid. They hold up to the abuse pretty well. Bright color and thicker plastic than some of the others. I have a few sets and like them.

I haven't used them yet, but I have seen them in person. They seem comprable to the ocean lure concepts. I'm probably going to make a sizeable order.

BJ,
I agree totally with your post. I think Tormentor hand paints the eys. But dont quote me on that. If you put 20 Ocean concept lures and 20 Tormentor lures in a box a casual eye would have a hard time telling the difference unlless you were lookig for it.

I recently bought some ocean concept lures and the tormentors seem comparable and are a little cheaper as well. Any colors you guys recommend? I wanted to try the green with black stripe. What would be a good stinger color for this? So far I have 11" rainbows with 13" black stinger and 11" black/purple with 13" lipstick stingers. Going to get some pink as well.

KR- only real differences I noticed were pretty sublte - the Black tormentors have alot more foil on them than the OLC's, and I didn't like their rainbow as much. But you can get them for $3.30 each online at offshorepursuits, and that's cheaper than I could get the OLC's from a distributor. They copied some of the good colors, and I think did a good job- you're right, most wouldn't tell the difference.

here are their color choices.

I don't know anything about this east of chatham company, but this is tormentor's color line-up.

offshore pursuits is actually offering them at $2.80 each. has anyone used their spreader bar bags made by nantucket bound? I like the 4 pocket spreader bar bag and it seems to be a good price at 36.75

Those are good quality bags, and that's a decent price. 3.30 is for the 13".
