View Full Version : New: Good Vibrations from Point Jude Lures
Pt.JudeJoe 02-24-2008, 11:23 PM They will FEEL it before they SEE it!
The PoJees have proven themselves on Stripers, blues, tuna, albies, bonito, and even roosterfish. With the addition of the spinner blade there is a continuous flash and more importantly a vibration. Fish are sensitive to vibration on their lateral line as an indicator of prey in distress ,often before they are in visual range.
This adaptation has been used with great success by the Senior Angler and others in the past and is sure to hook up again this year.I will be introducing them at the MSBA show this weekend ,March 1,2 and at the RISAA show April 4,5,6.

These 2 lures have already done very well with the footballs, the spinning blade might just drive 'em crazy!
DJ Muller 02-27-2008, 11:11 PM There is something special about a flaptail...no not Steve! I did very , very good w/ a flap on a needle last year on a nearby island...I think Joe is on to something!!!
Good going Joe!!
BIG TIM 02-28-2008, 08:21 AM I can't wait to fish em!!!
NIGHT STRIKES 02-28-2008, 10:07 AM Nice Joe,, See You In April...
Sweetwater 02-28-2008, 01:45 PM Picked up a PoJee last year at the MSBA show and had great luck with it in high wind and big surf around the cape. Then a bluefish decided he wanted it for a snack and no more PoJee. Couldn't find any at Nelsons (Rich you listening? :) ) , Pamet B&T, or Blackbeards.
I'm grabbing a handful this year.

What type of retrieve, fast like the footballs generally go for or does the addition of the blade allow for a much more varied speed on the retrieve.
Pt.JudeJoe 02-28-2008, 06:21 PM The blade will create more resistance but I would think fast is the ticket. One thing you can try with this is to retrieve and pause to let it free fall and then retrieve again. While it falls the blade will be spinning. This will also be an effective strategy on the beaches for bass. Cast out,let it free fall to the bottom and then after it sits on the sand for a moment twitch it.Many times a bass will see it fall and eye it and then when you twitch it on the bottom he BANGS it !!
