So my buddy told me he is going to see Blind Melon tomorrow in Hartford. I was like huh? Said the new singer sounds like Shannon Hoon without trying to be like him. Apparently, the guy grew up worshipping Blind Melon. He (my buddy) attributed it to the movie rock star with Marky Mark. Also said that he saw a couple of video's on MySpace and he was impressed by them and that they are working on a new album. My buddy stressed that the new lead singer doesn't think he is Shannon Hoon. I'll keep you updated on how the show was. I'd give it a second go around maybe....
