This is a fluid story..:hihi:....and is changing minute to minute, but our sources here at S-B News reports that lifelong Surfcaster and all around nice guy, Slingah, is the proud new owner of a boat! Thats right, you heard it correctly......it came across the AP wire just a few minutes ago......Slingah, a lifelong surfcaster has purchased what is reported to be a 14' Skiff toting a 15 hp motor! Purchase was made in Rockland at the home of reputed Kayak fisherman BigBo's residence! Eyewitness BigFish is quoted as stating..."There is no boat, like a friends boat"!:laugha: Tune in to tonights 11:00 news for updated information!:kewl:

My 39 year old skiff still takes me to more bass than any other means I know of, no crowds, perfect.

Yeah Matt, but Larry said it was a 14 foot skiff with a 15 hp? I'm not sure if that is strong enough to move the boat with BigFish in the boat ... you may need to get a bigger boat or at least a bigger engine ... :hihi:

But seriously, congratulations, it will open up a whole new category of fishing ... which will require a whole new category of tackle to buy :lama:.

Enjoy it.

there's plenty of submerged sand bars out there that you can now get to and then get out and stand awhile and then you can be an
offshore fisherman with a boat . :musc:

don't forget to anchor.

CONGRATS MATT:btu: I really enjoyed my 1st season with my skiff last year. I still went out surfcasting though when conditions were a little rough for the skiff. We have a ton of options in our area to launch. Good luck with it and I hope to see you out there!

Raven's got the idea, I keep trying to convince some of the guys I fish with to try that and they keep saying there isn't a boat big enough for them to squeeze into ... it's a great idea. :rotf3:

Matt, that is awesome. You are gonna love being able to reach out and touch more fish. It's much easier to be a daytime fisherman once in a while and during the summer doldrums, it will help to be a boater when you want to be. Congrats! go slow and enjoy it. :btu:
