I have many different names. Really no favorite. But I do have a favorite color. Yellow. When all else fails I always seem to catch with Yellow. smac 03-09-2008, 08:33 AM I like gibbs. I can find them cheap;replace the hooks and they are good to go. My favorite color is only a couple shots of spray paint away. My favorite color is only a couple shots of spray paint away. :kewl: Haven't bought any in years, so I can't speak for the current vintage, but I've caught many good fish on Gibbs Dannys. I liked to drill out the weight, add a larger one (3/8 x 1/2 "), cut off the tail hook (leaving the bucktail) and use 3/0's on the belly. My friend, however, who is a better fisherman than I fishes them right out of the package and does just fine with them the way they come. hyefisherman2 03-12-2008, 05:32 PM rm smith mosholu 03-12-2008, 05:38 PM I have way less experience than most on this fourm so I can not say my views are definitive but I have caught more fish on a stock blue and white Gibbs Danny than any other plug. And I fish those plugs, and do well. Totally forgot about those.. Does the paint still crack and pop off when wet? Got these along with 8 or so others 2+years ago... Couple of months before the fish got here.... What a shock when they hit the water... :( Tried to contact the guy but he never returned any e-mails... vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
