Jeff, those 1209's don't wear me out, it's the lightest 10' rod I own. I can't believe how light it is for such a stiff, heavy rod.

Slip, just my first impression I guess. Only got one outing under the belt and yup they sure are light. Its the stiff or fast action that was such a big change for me from my rubberband tip I was using previously. My old rod had a built in shock absorber in the tip. My wrist was aching after the first session but could be just my learning curve or adjustment period. Definetely more sensitive.

Bring a graplin hook, I will bring 500' of rope from work, I park where we walked up by the downed fence, tie it to the trailer hitch, and we got plenty of lead for next year. ;)

fishing was slow so I beat it.
