Long slim danny ... is that like the one you gave me ... I tried a few years ago to do a long slim danny and it rolled out wicked easy .. Wasn't hydro orientating then .. maybe I'll try again .. mint

Hey George, these look really nice especially the yellow/white.I just picked up some BM giant Donny's and hope they swim as good as they look.Please let me know if you ever consider the Conrad Sr.

These are not the long slim ones like I gave you, these are copies of a real Musso plug. They are similar in length and width to a medium Pichney danny, but with a smaller tail, convex rather than concave profile to the tail, and a larger lip with a higher line tie. Turns out the high slot lefty lip should really be called a donny lip......it is identical to the lip on the original Musso plug I borrowed from Flap. Whalie's plug uses a hybrid danny/lefty lip instead, and swims great. The big beachmasters that Sea Dangles makes reference to seem to be a copy of the larger Musso swimmer. A large pike lip with a lower drilled hole is the same for that plug. Been thinking of those as well. These are hydro-oriented in your honor , Eddy. Feel guilty if I don't do that now. That long danny I gave you WILL roll, but the fish (including several near #30) crushed the prototype last fall and it was lime green. Goes to show how important roll is. Just fish it slow.

Shave the top of that plug an u have a lefty...

One of the tell tale differences between a danny and a donny other than the better care donny took to make em look better is Donny used a more gentle slope from the fat part to the tail where danny has that concave bend to the rear parts..
A high hole for the smaller one an a low hole on the bigger one.??
George have u tested out the differences.I'm finding it is hard to make generalizations on these details especially lips an hole placement.I have found them to be inconsistent.I have noticed quite a few variatons.More so catering to the desired action of the plug.Other factors come to play in this scenario also.Like lead amounts,and placement.Or type of wood used.There are so many around for different applications.Deep runners or trollers an then top water or just subsurface swimmers.One thing in common in the Beachmaster's,Donny's or Danny's.They are made for water with some action.Whether it is pull from a wave or current.It might be easier to classify em as Long Island plugs.

I will hunt them this year.
The Musso maple is an excellent plug for moving water.
