stripadan 03-15-2008, 06:29 PM Find a copy of Stripers and Streamers by Ray Bondorew. Great fly book, you'll learn a lot I'm sure.
Jnatti 03-16-2008, 08:58 AM just picked up a used copy on amazon, i figured while i was there i would pick up stripers on the fly also. Thanks dan

cb2fly 03-21-2008, 10:13 AM Don't forget to have a few cinder worms for those mid May to June full moon nights if you have access to fishing salt ponds

Lbifisherman429 03-25-2008, 09:35 PM how is the cinder worm pattern acomplished?
cb2fly 03-25-2008, 09:56 PM Here is one of maybe 5 patterns I have seen.. I use rabbit dyed red, red orange or light pink & Cork or some type of float material and then a blunt almost a guggler look to push, it needs to have erratic "swim". When you use rabbit the profile when wet is about 70% less, I have found color can matter when it is light out, at night it's all about swim action and profile. Last year I even made a "Jointed fly", and that swam erratic. I will try and throw up a few more cinder patter if I can find them. cb
cb2fly 03-25-2008, 11:32 PM one is a deer hair head and the other is an experiment with a different hook. cb
Lbifisherman429 03-26-2008, 08:51 AM Ok, i see the pics but i dont understand how to tie them
Jnatti 03-26-2008, 07:02 PM Chuck,
