Just because they make'em outta plastic doen't mean i can't make them outta wood. some of the 1 3/4 oz. needles for the upcoming season. Made out of mahogany.

Thanx, and i haven't forgotten about you...i got those weights sitting on my desk at work, just keep forgetting to put them in an envelope and mail them to you :shocked:

Very nice kev, I like your color selection. Yankee pine sells mahogany ballisters for $2 ea.

The originals were wood....and go for about $200 now.......and your's look every bit as good.

Slow to moderate sinkers.....sink at about a 30 deg angle....they don't sink as quickly as the plastic ones.

haven't fished needles much in the past, but this year I want to REALLY dig into them and figure them out. Stocking up as well as building a bunch to do just that. Gonna spend some quality time at lunch throwing them out front of the office and comparing sink rates and presention of the various kinds then apply what i've learned/noted to this coming season.

Went with darker colors because I primarily fish at night.....I can always spin up some more in lighter colors if needed.
