I patterned this after a Super Strike Bullet Needle, it's slightly larger that the real ones, I'm going to try some in a squid pattern next, different weights also, I'd like something that will hang near the surface...

I tried somehting like that once didnt get back to it but what I was going to do (you mentioned near surface & I had been thinking the same) is drill the weight hole deep and put a drilled dowel blank behind... GooGoo Man 03-20-2008, 07:06 PM Love what you did with the nose thru wire. Did you drill a 2nd hole & not use a nose grommit? numbskull 03-20-2008, 08:43 PM Way cool JFigliuolo 03-21-2008, 07:37 AM Made something similiar last year. Put in a tail and a head weight. Heavy, cast like a rocket, stayed up top. Just make the tail a little heavier than the nose. Caught when nothing else would get out to the fish. Beautifull paint. spence 03-21-2008, 07:51 AM Made something similiar last year. Put in a tail and a head weight. Heavy, cast like a rocket, stayed up top.
