Yesterday I was in a tackle shop on route 3a in Kingston, Mass. and a guy comes in looking for clam baskets. He and three of his buddies drive from every year from Greenfield to go clamming in Kingston. The shop owner sent them down the street to the hardware store. Long way to go for clams. Thats spring fever for ya!

Raven, you're something else...
When you get the hankering for fresh piss clams, distance and suffering is nothing. I've scratched in Pamet during a snowstorm, freezing my fingers to a nub, I knew the fresh steamers would thaw everything. Reminded me that I have to renew my permit. Thanks for that. THAT would have been a major screw up.
