I haven’t built one plug yet, but I am already hooked.

I was first introduced to lure making by “The Fisherman” magazine in an article by Dave Anderson. The lure was a Senior Slopehead. I plan to build this style of lure based on the ENORMOUS amount of information available on this forum. Thanks in advance. BTW, this seems to be one of the more active forums I have found.

I primarily fish out of the Chesapeake Bay and the Patuxent River from my 17’ Skiff. All those Rockfish (AKA Stripers) are spawning in the creeks and rivers here, then making the migration back to your shores. Our Rockfish season starts 19 APR…Can’t wait. Lots of trolling and jigging.

I plan to use the Slopehead when we locate a big school during the Spring and then later in the summer months on the “resident” Rockfish that live year round in the river and bay.

Anyone fish out of the Solomons Island, MD area?

rhahn427,

Ever do the Susquehanna Flats? I wanted to try to get up there during the spring catch and release, but don't think I'll make it. They say the water temps are getting warmer now.
