So how did we do?
Well, got a late start Friday night by getting down to Charlie & Don's shop around 11pm. Hooked up with Carl, Jenn, and Red and worked a couple areas off Weekapaug. Managed a couple shredded eels before moving on to Quonny. First drift, small keeper which I released but only had a few more bumps after the breachway stopped dumping. Meanwhile Jonny & Krispy are into fish at the Hill where they put together a good batch of fish for the tourney.
Saturday had a few of us at the Hill in screeming winds ( wich I had some bigger plugs with me) and big surf then onto 2 more spots where Fishpart and I had a couple bumps and I lost one fish that might have been biggest overall bass (lots of small & teen size fish around) that snuck off with my new favorite hard plastic swimmer.
Again, "The A Team" of Striped-Bass produced more fish for the S-B team last night and this morning. With the Tattooed one taking a nice bass for the team.
Opps - So how did we do? Thanks to the work done by the Tatooed one, Stacheman, and Krispy, it will be necessary for Striped-Bass.com to rally and defend our "Surf Fishing Club Challenge" Trophy for 2003. Yep, that's right, the boys WON it for Striped-Bass.com :btu: narrowly edging Weekapaug Surfcasters for the 2002 Tourney (WooooHoooo). I was very impressed when the called out the club names from last to first with S-B being the overall winner. Big thumbs up for everyone that made it fishing for S-B: Krispy, Tattoo, Johnny, Joe, Jenn, Red, Carl, Scotch, Fishpart (there were other S-B members fishing for their other clubs like Basic Patrick, Toby, Bobbike, Don...).

Great work done by everyone on the Tourney to put this together and run it. Most importantly, over a thousand bucks was raised for the Muscular Distrophy Association. Great work guys & gals!!!
... PS, we'll need to try real hard to defend this next year ;)
