It changed colors from dark to almost a chart/green ..yellow as it swam away, starting with its head....I swear if it was night it would have glown in the dark...pretty cool http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXNN-09b_ts GonnaCatchABig1 04-10-2008, 09:37 PM  gorgeous fish... i have yet to hook into a smally that big. then again i think i've only hooked into a few dozen in my life. but i've never targeted ponds/lakes known for them. usually saved them as a NH delight. not enough clean water in these parts. InTheHole 04-11-2008, 08:39 AM Nice smallies, I love smallmouth - if they grew as big as stripers you would need 30 class gear to land them, terrific fights!! King Neptune 04-11-2008, 12:24 PM nothing beats a small mouth on a stiff rod Frankiesurf 04-11-2008, 01:26 PM I remember my first smallie. Using ultra light tackle targeting small trout in a little stream upstate NY. This first smallie hit my Mepps and I thought I was snagged on the ledge. Then the ledge pulled drag. He was about a 13 inch fish and one of the coolest fights I have had. numbskull 04-11-2008, 05:56 PM I live on Cape Cod and I have only caught one smallmouth bass in my life. God, I'm a loser. Slammer223 04-11-2008, 09:04 PM Quite a few good Smallie lakes on the Cape actually. numbskull 04-12-2008, 06:16 AM Quite a few good Smallie lakes on the Cape actually. My point exactly. Time to branch out. Bazza 04-12-2008, 06:30 AM Roy, once again some nice pictures.
