Adam_777 04-12-2008, 08:04 PM I have a tsunami in classifieds for 50$.Nice rod.Accurate rating.Very light.I like it just don't have any reels for it.I may take it off the list and grab a 711 for it. 5 String Bass 04-12-2008, 08:35 PM I picked up an airfwave 11' over the Winter. Can't wait to use it. Check Ebay, as there are lots of them on there- I got mine from Harleerod (ebay seller), cost me about 80 with shipping. Shop them around and you will find a deal. The St. Croix seems nice and I think they have a decent warranty too(? ) See what feels right to you. I have read good things about both in these forums. Check out the Lami Surf Kings and Tica Dolphins in this price range too. Good luck. moosh 04-12-2008, 08:53 PM I like Tica 9' or an 8 ' pretty good rod for the money under $ 100.00and when you get them on sale ots only $80.to $85.fast to mod. stripermagnet 04-12-2008, 09:33 PM yea im a tica guy myself big jay 04-13-2008, 08:07 AM I've got the 9' St Croix Triumph, and so do 2 of the guys I fish with. Great rods, nice action, quality of a much more expensive rod at an affordable price point. Mine's paired with a VS 150, not sure what the other guys have on , but mine balances nicely. The warranty is worth it - managed to crack mine (think it got stepped on) - dropped it off at the SaltwaterEdge, and they had me a new one in less than a week. basswipe 04-13-2008, 08:09 AM I've got the 9' St Croix Triumph, and so do 2 of the guys I fish with. I second that.Bought an 8'er for my woman. scottw 04-13-2008, 08:14 AM I have the 8' and 9' Triumph...love both of them but the butt of the 9 is a little long for me so I may knock 3 or 4 inches off of it....depends on how you like them... good reviews here though.. shorehunter 04-13-2008, 12:56 PM Have 3 St Croix rods , 7 foot musky 8 years old, 10 foot 4 years old and the 8 footer I just pick up. The 8 will be my first spinner from St Croix. Great rods :btu: Adam_777 04-13-2008, 02:16 PM The St.Croix is a decent rod also.I have the 10ft triumph surf, seems a little stiff to me but I haven't really put it to the test hard enough to say.Took a little more work than necessary to work a Pencil. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
