Anyone see this stuff? Heard of it on another website. Sounds like a nice alternative to epoxy.

Not sure, might be like the Sally Hanson brush on nail stuff, I like working with that.... did you try any?

It sounds different. Almost like a paste, that cures with a light. Not Hard as Nails. It comes in a syringe like two part, you can form it until exposed to the special light. The light itself is like 70.00 bucks.
The upsides are its flexable, doesn't smell, ( my wife hates two part epoxy) .

I have one and it works pretty well. There are 2 syringes and the "blue" light[not uv].1 syringe is called;the core and is fairly thick in consistancy.2nd syringe is smaller than the core and is called;the finish. The consistancy of the finish is alot thinner than the core. Both cure with the light.Once the body is cured you will find a residue after curing that is cleaned off with alcohol on a piece of paper or cloth towel then sally hansen, hard as nails, etc. is applied to really finish. If you tie a bunch of flies and then use epoxy to coat all at the same time then put them on a drying wheel that way is faster. The tufflye you do one at a time. It's just another type of tire so to speak.

I tried it and the Core is yellow right out of the tube. I'm still on the fence about this stuff. FishHawk.

it has some type of yellow hint, is not 100% clear right out of the tube but when i hit it with the light bbbbbzzzzzzzbbbzbzzzzzzz. hahaha is nice and clear. i talked to the owner of tuffleye and he said is because some flash is made with ION. the ion make some type of reaction. but he said the formula is fixed.since i bought my kit i haven't experienced nothing like that yet. and i tie a lot. so far i've made about 30 surf candies and i'm not done with the first tube yet. so to me it pays off.
good luck. did you contact tuffleye?

what attracted me the most about it is the final finish of the flies.
just by having a full detail of the inside of it can be at your advantage.
this year so far i have used my bunker patterns and the surf candies. and i've been catching more fish on such type of flies.it really gets kind of close to the real deal when it comes down to detail and profile. IN MY OPINION.
i'm ready for my sandeels patterns BROWN/white,olive /white. and i will make one with epoxy and one with tuffleye and i will post them and i'll see who got the eye for it.:buds:
