Differences in social atmosphere consider how schools reacted to situations in 1957 to how they reacted in 2007.

Funny scenarios:

Lu thanks for putting it all in perspective like that.I had a post similar to this comparing what a difference 50 years makes on the growth and evolution of man .I deleted mine before hitting the "post quick reply".It was in a thread about a school shooting or something. If it is possible I think we've evolved so far we are actually devolving. Not sure if thats a word but I think it describes the moral of the story. The truth about Devolution and how we devolved to what we are today.

It's not even 50 years, the before examples you used even happened in the 60's when I was in school.
I honestly see these deteriorations happening primarily in the last 20 years. I am not sure if it has been an escalation of law ethics vs moral ethics in re-enforcing/redefining individual rights or a bunch of moonbats with too much education trying to define it for us.

that's some stuff isn't it.when i was in school if you got into a fight the vice principal put both fighters in the gym with boxing gloves to hash it out. i'll bet that would go over big today.
on a side note, fifty years ago- i was stumbling around, drooling, babbling incoherently and crapping my pants. sounds a lot like any friday night in 2008,
except fifty years ago i was one.

Its so much easier to fall in on the side of failure. No work to do afterwards.

That's one of the reasons people should work for welfare, so it is earned rather than an entitlement.

Nothiing like a good hard days work for a feeling of self worth and accomplishment.
