I'm looking at the Garmin Colorado 400c to use as a GPS out here in Cali. I have garmin on my boat back east and would like to get something i am familiar with. We are in a boating club where you use club boats but most don't have GPS and considering i'll be doing some trips over to catilina starting in about 2 weeks i figured i should have some type of insurance.

Does anyone have any recomendations or thoughts on this unit? I'll be using it mainly for sailing boats from 30-50 feet and possibly some night passages.

Hey Paul,

How are you doing? Life out here is good, just got back from the honeymoon and up to my eyeballs in work. The weather has been great hear but i have yet to go fishing.

The wife caught a yellowfin on the honeymoon though so that was fun.

Everything here is good. Just waiting on some consistent decent weather, you know how it is here in spring. Glad to hear you are doing well and enjoying yourself. Enjoy your summer and stay in touch. P.
