:uhuh: I was with a friend of my sons several weeks ago who has helped film the program. He has been a cameraman filming the cameramen as they mount and prep the boats for the season. He has gone out into the "bay" and has been in 60' ers on a 125' boat as they did prep shots for the start of the season.

Last year he was filming and a new cameraman fell ill and .uked in the center of the cockpit area. A seasoned fisherman walked out took his finger, and wrote the guys name on the deck as the all laughed.

He also filmed the Captains having dinner episode and said it was f'in nuts!!!!!

On a 125' fishing in 40-50 with 30'+ swells for 30 hours straight at 10F, moving 300 lb pots.
Did that one boat fish brown kingcrab and get 90K per deckhand before switching to red kings?

If you fish 3 crab seasons in the year you could gross 150K for six months at a full share. But that would probably be 6000 hours of work.

the show was good the first time around but now it is sensationalized. I still watch it though.

thats $25.00 per hour...hardly worth it in my opinion
