View Full Version : Congratulations to Sauerkraut & Kudos to Numbskull!!
Flaptail 05-15-2008, 11:49 AM On Souerkraut's 50-1/2" 47 lb. bass caught on a Numbskull skinny danny at an UDL the night before last.
Sauerkraut never keeps a fish. As always this one was measured weighd and tagged ( American Littoral Society) and released.
Fish was caught from shore in the wee hours.
Numby is the plug maker of the year in my book and the two of them are two of the best bass men to prowl Cape Cod and the islands.:kewl::bl:

shorehunter 05-15-2008, 11:26 PM Catching a 47 pound bass
early in the season
on a plug
and knowing the person who makes the plug
priceless
SAUERKRAUT 05-16-2008, 12:31 AM No picture, unfortunately. As the season gets going, I'm always set up with a time delay "system" I worked out. But I quite frankly wasn't expecting this fish this early and I didn't bring it along.
Certainly wasn't worth killing it for a pic either!
GonnaCatchABig1 05-16-2008, 12:46 AM awesome fish! too bad theres no pics. i love fish porn.

Back Beach 05-16-2008, 04:26 AM Last plug I give that turkey!
Last time I refer to your plugs as "kindling" too. :laugha:
Seriously, congrats George and SK.
stiff tip 05-16-2008, 04:28 AM or should i say two men......nice fish
numbskull 05-16-2008, 05:15 AM Last time I refer to your plugs as "kindling" too. :laugha:
LOL. The guy is one of you effing eel fisherman. You know the first thought he had when he landed that fish was "CRAP! If I'd been using an eel I could have gotten a bigger one". :crying:
PaulS 05-16-2008, 06:48 AM Nice catch.
A great marketing line would be "guaranteed to catch a 47 pounder". If anyone tries to return, just say you need to give it more time.
Bronko 05-16-2008, 08:02 AM Nice work. Great Fish!:bounce:
cow tamer 05-16-2008, 08:53 AM How's about a photo of the plug?
zimmy 05-16-2008, 11:05 AM way to go
Brine 05-16-2008, 11:37 AM A fish like that is a trophy.
From shore, and on a plug!
WOW, It really doesn't get better than that.
Nice job guys.
saltfly 05-16-2008, 01:14 PM BRAVO-ZULU!!!
numbskull 05-16-2008, 05:46 PM Top plug is what he used, shown with a BM large Danny for scale. His plug, however, uses a midslot Lefty lip, unlike the one pictured. Nothing magical about the plug. I'm sure the fish would have nailed the ancient plastic white A 40 he usually uses instead.
ProfessorM 05-16-2008, 06:56 PM You gave me one, basically same color. Guess i will have to use it.

If nothing "magical", then maybe its the talent on the other end of the line??
snake slinger 05-17-2008, 04:02 PM congrats!
BassDawg 05-18-2008, 06:20 AM :claps: :claps: EXCELLENT!!! :claps: :claps:
this bodes VERY WELL for the coming season:

justplugit 05-18-2008, 10:42 AM Nice, very nice. :hihi: Congrats all around. :btu:
Back Beach 05-18-2008, 03:54 PM I'm sure the fish would have nailed the ancient plastic white A 40 he usually uses instead.
He could have used an eel and saved a tree too...
Awesome..
Numbskull is no dummy when it comes to making plugs.
He is a hard worker, diligent in finding out what makes certain plugs tick. His insight is of great value when he shares.I read all his post's on the matter with great attention. It can be humbling to find out how much I actually know about plugs. The real nice fish SK caught is just more proof..
Nice Job..
