Just got in from fishing some action packed skinny water...The great part about tonight was all my fish came on a Habs Tally Wacker. Almost felt like John was right there next to me. Okay im tired and going to bed now.

Thanks guys got to love those explosive blow ups in shallow water followed by the long runs. Had a good time last night tried a few swimmers with a lot of nipping at them, then switched over to the tally and that curly tail was enough to push them over the edge...I didn't measure the fish, but im guessing some where around 40" since she went 23lbs on the Boga. Not a monster, but I will take it. Lots of fish in that 30-34" as well

Nice Fish, Roy!!

40" is a little steep for 23#, yes?
more like 36" to 38"; however,

she is still a BEAUTY!!!! Well Done!

if you surffish the cape beaches you'll find, unfortunately, lots of 40" and 20,21,and22# fish. sand eels are hard to catch or maybe its running from seals? boat fish seem to be a little heavier.

Thanks guys...Unfortunatly a lot of our fish this time of the year don't weigh what there supposed to. Most 36-38" bass only go about 16-18lbs, but still lots of fun. I asked my dad to measure it since I kept it to give to him and he said it was 40-1/2" long...I have a life time worth of Habs and plan on fishing them all, just how John would have liked it. He was good friend, I miss him.

your right roy . they havent fattened up yet also the last 2 years or so I have noticed the fish are leaner like a cigar as opposed to a torpeado .
