That could go both ways.Some might argue that the fan should have had a little more respect and puffed up beforehand as its well known Bruce passionately hates smoke of all types.Or if the fan really felt the need to puff during the show he shouldn't have bought GA Pit tickets and should've opted for seats.

And really how stupid(or stoned) do you have to be blaze up right out in the open with basically a spotlight on you?

In the end the guy didn't get booted,Bruce made light of it and the show went on.

And I say this having been someone who used to burn morning,noon and night for close to 30yrs.Yea I know...I started young.

I just think it's a bit silly for a musician to start sorting out the good fans from the bad fans. It's not like the guy was a threat to anyone and he paid for his ticket just like the rest.

Seemed like he did it just to shock the crowd, but I'm sure he made the guy feel like crap. Not a way to treat a fan...

I'm not sure I'd be a fan much longer if I was called out at a show for that.I don't puff that sheet so it wouldn't happen.Most of the shows I've ever been to were clouds of smoke and people having fun while watching a band they love.That seems a little bit off especially for a maiden show.You would think that most of that show is full of old stoners and some new.Weird IMO

Listen,I hadn't met this to be a debate as that was not the intent.But I do understand why this is in a way a debate.Again this had nothing to with drugs but more to do with smoke.#^&#^&#^&#^&onson argueably has one of the greatest vocals in all of music and there's a reason why...he takes care of it.

Spence,as far as Bruce sorting out the good from the bad that didn't happen as the fan was still able to see the entire show and was not arrested for his ILLEGAL activity.Regardless of whether he paid for the ticket or not does not alleviate the fact that what the fan was doing was illegal and that #^&#^&#^&#^&onson HATES smoke.The intent was not to humiliate the fan,its simply that Bruce hates smoke.If you can argue against that then I bow to you because you could argue why a hitler/stalin ticket should be a write-in in Nov. Obviously I mean that in jest,but you get my meaning.

I never knew any of the history of Maiden.I guess real fans should know he doesn't like that sheet and respect him for sure.I like some Maiden music just never heard of the whole #^&#^&#^&#^&inson doesn't like smoke.I don't blame him...stuff gets my nasal passages and throat all messed up and I don't sing in front of crowds or anyone.Caught Somewhere in Time is one of my favorites.I'll keep in mind not to smoke a fatty in the pit at a Maiden show unless I want to be put on the spot.
