Just got the word, Position is being eliminated at the end July. Can't say I didn't see it coming....they've been talking about outsourcing IT lately and my boss hasn't been able to look me in the eye all week.
Time to polish up the resume

What are your areas of knowledge / expertise? Certs?
Even now, the job market in the Boston are for IT folks is better than down here in Rhody. I get calls still for people wanting me to go to Boston
The Dad Fisherman 06-11-2008, 01:02 PM I do MS Servers, Exchange, some SQL Admin, Citrix, Firewall, VPN, Some GreatPlains, Networking...and an array of other things.
I got a ton of certs
MCSE, CCNA, CCDA, CCA, ASE, PSA, A+ (Both PC and MAC).
Gonna polish up the resume tonight, already got something in the pipeline possible (My Neighbor manages a Datacenter)....we'll see what happens.
Told the wife its going to be the "Summer of Kevin" she didn't find the humor in that.

Anyone got any leads in Manufacturing/Process Engineering or Manufacturing Management???

with no loyalty !!! they never learn . keep it in house and you have employees that care , have pride in the company and are loyal to the bosses . Im hoping to retire in 3 years and get a less technical job . Mcdonalds might be hiring then .

to bad it wasn't the fall run tho. you could use the time to fish every day like someone I know did :eyes:
