If it wasn't for bad luck i wouldn't have any at all

I went to my favorite spot only downside it’s a walk and you have to park on the street.

I know I shouldn't have done it but I left the rear gate unlocked. Since I couldn't get the cooler on the first trip :cheers2:

When we got there the water was alive with bait and birds. So I did what any of us would have I dropped my gear and tossed my line....

Caught 2 small then it hit me my truck was unlocked with a cooler of beer and my large tackle box. (Thank god I brought my travel box)

So I head back wasn't even half way up the dune and I could see my rear hatch open....:eek5:

Cooler was gone box was gone and one empty sitting on the ground little b@stard had a beer while he went through my truck. He must have been watching me walk away. I could have killed someone......:nailem:

I lost a lot of gear but thankfully I still had my other box.. the biggest hit was my buddy had given me a spring squid (look a like) that he made before he left for Iraq and that thing got nailed more then Paris Hilton. So if anyone in the NH area see's a 7inch squid looking plug with gold leaf for the body and like a black strip on its side make sure your trucks locked. And beat the he!! out of the kid I know if I find him I will.

Oh well life lessons never come cheap.

I guess with the gas prices people are resorting to stealing

Go to the same place again, same time, with some chit stuff. This time bring a couple of buddies, or better yet have them get there first and hide. Do the exact same thing, but have your buddies waiting and yell to you when the jerk walks up to your truck. The rest of this is fill in the blanks yourself.

Yea I would like too the parking area isn't too far from the hampton bridge the problem is there is a ton of foot traffic and teenagers every where. My chances of catching the same kid are low

More like the price of Oxycontin and heroin. You want gear to take a hike--come on down to the Canal. One guy had a rod and a box of plugs lifted from his bike while he was no more than 20' away landing a fish.

The latest thing--which is surpassing ripping off copper tubing and lead plumbing fixtures from abandoned houses--is stealing catalytic converters in parking lots. 10 in the last two months at the Park and Ride bus lot behind the Shell station at the Flyover.

I try to see the best in people.

I know I wasn't an angel when I was a teenager I lifted a 6 pack and a few packs of smokes out of someones car when they left the top down and it sitting in an empty parking lot....

I do hope the punk gets busted for a DUI or jams some of those Hooks into them..

Mainly what i'm thankful for is I noticed I had my spare set of keys sitting in the center box it could have been a lot worse.......

The sick part is so many nights I've sat out there feeling some what safe relaxed and now i'm going ot be worreid about who is in the shadows and if i have a line of sight to my stuff.....
