of log length wood thats been sitting in the yard for the last six weeks. I was only going to do half and save the other half for next year but I'm thinking that this winter I'll need it all. I am going to the store to get the obligatory 12-pack though before I start. Of course thier is a no-alcohol while your sawing the log-length wood in effect, but I'll be ready right after I'm done. When I was 50 I cut a whole load to length in four hours. I am 57 now so I have to estimate getting the job done time-wise is about four days. :cheers2:

Good luck. I did 3 plus cords, cut down, lugged from woods, and then cut and split, last fall for upcoming year. I ached for a month. The lugging from the woods was the worst part. Still got another 25 trees left for this fall. I'd wait for some cooler weather for the majority of your slave labor.

I just need it seasoned for November burning. Can't wait. I didn't get to far before I had issues with the saw. Wouldn't run high end. Replaced plug, received at advice from guy who does tuneups on them. Adjusted high end needle valve. Now its smoking. All the biggest trees are on top, so at least I'll get them out of the way first.
