John, does it have to be a recent pic?

JohnR

Recent is best, but a great shot from earlier or something hilarious but not inappropriate works too...

Maybe this weekend I can get something worth snapping a picture. Thinking about blowing off all planned indoor work and going fishing both days, CT Saturday and a cod trip with Juls/Bill Sunday. Schoolie Monster Juls said you might be up for some fishing this weekend, let me know if you want to hook up.

Was on my way fishin one night and picked this up. Yup, our president with a nice fish on the front page.......by the way John, is he registered on the site?? ;)

:D Tough call, by the color, he looks like he's using a Calcutta 400, which is good though I'd rather see him with a Penn 965, being The Prez and all.

But he is on a Fountain, doesn't that disqualify him from fishing :p ;) ? And didn't it take him a week to get that fish?

Sorry STRIPER77 but Super Cow is vintage Laptew Production 1/17/01...just thought it was applicable to the thread...sort of like other vintage LP stuff:

JohnR, Here are some of the few vertical shots I've taken...to me the toque or woolen hats spell late fall/early winter fishing...after all, the fat lady won't start singing till December. Feel free to use any of these if you choose to.

T.R.O. - Kevin, inside joke ;) - I know you have a Fountain, if he was helming a Donzi, It would have been much more serious :yak:

BTW - Nice work in the Tourney - you fishing the last one, trying for a few more pounds??

In second place, Kevin of TRO just 4#s behind the top spot & Trayder on the cut of ASA Top Angler (he could move ahead if everyone is skunked and he gets a 60 pounder :D )

Also nice showing from S-B members in there;

Trayder,

Oh, and another ? for you, you finnished in the Top 3 of the MSBA Tourney, right?

John, I have to agree with Van, I think we all get a kick out of "kids with fish" pics.
The few pics i've seen while a member of this board (thanks Van) have always been a pleasure to see, and have always stirred up fond memories of when I was a boy fishing with my Dad. :)

John- Yes, we have to go to work in Virginia. There are 2 more, one in late Nov., one in Dec. Unfortunately they count your 4 biggest fish out of all the events, so to make up the 5 lbs. we'd have to catch a 39+ to make up the 5. Last year a couple of the boats found a school of bunker with bass 40-60 lbs. underneath. The school and big bass moved into Maryland overnight and because the bass season was closed in Maryland all they could do is watch the action. I was kinda hoping the Ugly Mug would catch a 50 last weekend in Cape May to put us into "Tradersville" (sorry Jason), then we could skip the Deltaville and Readville events! We did manage to place third in both NY/RI/Conn. and NJ divisions and won a few bucks along the way so I guess we have to give it our best shot. Also, you are correct on the MSBA question.

I have often (almost everyday) have seen him but usually his father the ex-president fishing. I have been out there me on the shore and them on there boat. Their summer home is right up the beach from where i stay all summer up in maine. I remember one late afternoon in the fall The ex-president came up pretty close to me as I was wading to participate in a blitz of blues. It looked to me like his secret service agents behind him in a all black center console with a large gattling gun mounted on the front kidna wanted to get into the action also. He caught his limited then took of not before waving off to me. That next day I saw him and his family shopping in Kennebunkport and I kind of conored him on the street and I looked at him and he smiled and came over and talked to me and my mother and asked me if I was gonna be out there again tonight. Pretty Neat I think even though he was kind of an idiot when he was the president bu now hes seems to be a nice guy.

Bob - do you have a bigger version of it?

OK - let me ask all of you - what were the best pictures of 2002? Do we put up one of those or so we put up a springtime shot that will both get us in the mood or make cabin fever set a little deeper?
