If there was a young pup like that swimming around the islands, I'd be a little bit more careful wading around out there.
I think a shark of that size isn't flying solo ~ :eyes:

Considering that they don't have swim bladders, you have to figure it met its demise pretty close to shore. Or it was dumped close to shore after being caught. Mistaken for a mako, brought in, and when it was ID'd by someone as a GW they took it out and dumped it?
It looked pretty fresh in the pictures I saw, too.

I was thinking the same thing, Mike....probably caught and then dumped when someone realized it was a white and they were screwed.

From the picture I saw, It looked like there was some trauma below its gills, like bruising? Maybe got caught in a net?
