My wife and two daughters had plans all set to spend two weeks in Canada with her family kayaking and walleye fishing on Lake Kipawa. Due to my own mothers health I dont want to be a 16 hour drive away from Boston, so we are calling off the trip. Does anyone rent or know of a decent rental place somewhere within 2-2.5 hours south of Boston. We were aiming for the last week of July through the first week of August, 7-25 through 8-8, if anyone has a last minute cancelation and wants to fill it I am open. Thanks.

Check out www.vrbo.com. I've used it in the past and it's a good site with tons of listings in MA, RI, CT. Most of the listings have multiple pics and an availability calendar. Good luck.

I am told there are many places unrented in the SoCo RI area... a call to the local realtors might get something... I' definitely bargain with them... Matunuck, Green Hill, Charlestown, Narragansett etc.
