View Full Version : Needle with a twist...
scottw 07-20-2008, 10:47 PM I carved a stubby needle this spring that has been very good to me but decided to make a larger version this weekend, I got a little carried away and this was the result...it's just over 3 ounces, not really sure what to make of it but it should be fun to throw...

scottw 07-29-2008, 08:49 PM thanks fellas....I had the idea for this for a little while but finally got to working on it...two more in production...a long skinny needle and a metal lip that is looking pretty interesting so far...painted entirely with the PEARL Ex metallic powder pigments from Michaels...there are two sets with, I think, 10 pigments in each set...I've switched to System Three to finish and also picked up the System Three water based poly...I mixed the pigments into the poly and ran it through the airbrush...then finished with the S3 epoxy which I like much better than the Envirotex
thanks for the heads up Karl
